Not only in Karachi and Sindh, every citizen of Pakistan love to eat it. It forms one of the most consumed dishes of Pakistan Cuisine. Ingredients Chicken Biryani Recipe
- Rice – 1 Kg
- Chicken – 1 Kg
- Potatoes – 1/2 Kg
- Onion – 3 or 4 Medium
- Tomatoes – 1/2 Kg
- Oil – 1 & Half Cup
- Garlic Ginger Paste – 1 Tablespoon
- Yogurt – 1 Cup
- Green Chilies – 5 or 6
- Coriander Leaves (Chopped) – 1/2 Bunch
- Mint Leaves (Chopped) – 1/2 Bunch
- Lemons – 5
- Salt – To Taste
- Red Chili – 4 or 5 Tablespoon
- Turmeric – 1 Tablespoon
- Garama Masala Powder – 1 Tablespoon
- Coriander Powder – 1 Tablespoon
- Anardana – 1 Tablespoon
- Cardamom – 5 or 6
- Cinnamon – 3 Pieces
- Bay Leaf – 3 or 4
- Prunes – 12 to 15
- Nutmeg & Mace Powder – 1/2 Tablespoon
- Fennel – 1 Tablespoon
Easy & Quick Sindhi Biryani Recipe
1- Firstly slice and chop all the vegetables and also wash the chicken with the fresh cool water. After that add the oil in a pot and heat it on normal flame. Now add sliced onion in the oil, fry the onions until turn brown, take 1/4 of it and keep aside.
2- Add garlic ginger paste, tomatoes, potatoes and all the masala into the remaining onions and fry it until the tomatoes are tendered and become a smooth paste. Make sure the water also has dried.
3- Then add chicken and yogurt in it and cook on medium flame until the chicken tenderizes and yogurt is evaporated. Now add green chilies, coriander leaves, mint leaves and lemon juice, mix it well in the cooked chicken and cook for few minutes again. Qorma is ready here.
4- Take another pot to boil rice. Add water in pot, tie the fennel seeds and coriander seeds and make a bunch. Now add the bunch into the boiling water with 2 tablespoon of salt. When the rice turn tenderize, drain the boiled rice through stainer.
5- Take a large pot then spread a layer of rice first. Then add prepared chicken qorma or curry on the rice and also spread it like a layer. After that again put rice in it and make another layer. Mix fruit color in kewra and spread randomly on the rice. Also do not forget to put remaining fried onion in it.
6- Lastly cover the pot and turn the stove on normal flame. And let the rice cook for about 7 to 10 minutes. Once done, remove it from the stove and let the biryani stay covered for 6 to 8 minutes. Dish out the Biryani and garnish it with mint leaves. You can also put lemon slice on it.
