“I Would Lock Myself In The Room And Howl”, Affan Waheed Talks About His Depression & Divorce

Affan Waheed Opens Up About Depression

Recently, Affan appeared on Youtube talk show of legend actress Samina Peerzada “Rewind With Samina Peerzada”.  In the interview he talked about his love life, divorce and depression. Talking about the after-effect of his divorce, he said that divorce did not come easy for him. He said:

The Divorce Didn’t Come Easy On Him And I Used To Cry A Lot And Scream Whenever I Was Alone In The Room. My Life Had Come To A Standstill And I Had Stopped Working For Dramas At That Time.

He further added that

I Was So Depressed That I Didn’t Know What Was Wrong With Me. I Started Losing My Hair. I Didn’t Work For 8-9 Months.

His friends and family were with him in that hard time, said Affan:

My Friends And Family Played An Important Role Helping Me Heal. They Stood By My Side, Listened To Me And Heard My Feelings Out. And It Was All Because Of Them That I Was Able To Move Out Of That Phase Of My Life.

He added

When I Started To Move On From This Phase, I Felt Like Someone Filled Colors In A Black And White Photo.

When asked about felling in love again or not,to which he replied

There Is Always Fear At My Mind That I Might Have A Relapse Again. As My Previous Relationship Was Such A Bad Experience For Me.
