It seems like Actress Saba Qamar is in awe of actor-director Sarmar Khoosat. As the actress heaped praises the director’s perfection for his upcoming film Zindagi Tamasha. Saba, who was last seen alongside Emmad Irfani and Bilal Abbas Khan in Cheekh , shared teaser of the movie on her Instagram. Alongside the teaser, she wrote praising note for the director.
She stated that, “Now this looks promising! Sarmad Khoosat you’re a genius, always ahead of everyone else, and always discussing the taboo topics. Really looking forward for this one.” Watch the teaser below.
Prior to the release of Zindagi Tamasha in Pakistan, the film is all set to screen next month at the Busan International Film Festival. That well held annually in Haeundae-gu, Busan, South Korea. It’s his first-ever Punjabi feature film. The film stars Arif Hasan, Samiya Mumtaz, Eman Suleiman and Ali Kureshi in pivotal roles. It also marks the acting debut of model Ali Kureshi who has already taken the by storm with his good looks.
Before releasing the teaser, Sarmad shared the cast posters of the film with complete introduction of each and every character. Firstly he shared the glimpse of Samiya Mumtaz. Alongside the poster he wrote, Years of ill-health have made a withdrawn person out of Farkhanda with cheeky humor managing to break through every once in a while. She is now the quiet spectator of the events that unfold in lives of those around her.”
After that he introduced the character of Arif Hassan who is portraying Rahat. “Rahat is a naatkhawan and enjoys a celebrity status amongst the community in the old city of Lahore. He is a devout Muslim, who, in the eyes of everyone is a superhuman incapable of any sacrilege. Hence, when he does wrong there is no forgiveness for him.”
Ali Kureshi will be seen playing the character of Danish in his debut film. “Danish is in love with Sadaf and plays an ideal husband to her. However, when time comes, he sheds patriarchy’s expectations from him and not only becomes the sole person with some empathy for his father-in-law but also lets Sadaf fight her own battle while having her back throughout.”
Introducing the character of Eman Suleman he wrote that this one has a piece of his heart. “Sadaf has grown up idealizing her father, Rahat. She is always bragging about his rather mediocre scale of popularity. She adores and respects him but she wouldn’t allow him to falter like a human being, not even once. All it takes is one little moment to turn her into his antagonist.”
Zindagi Tamasha (Circus of Life), Directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. is a Khoosat Films Production. Distributed by IMGC and DC, the film is all set to hit screens soon.
