Sarmad Khoosat Revealed Release Date And The Reason Behind Removal of Zindagi Tamasha Trailer From YouTube

Zindagi Tamasha is one of the most awaited upcoming Punjabi movie. It’s Sarmad Khoosat’s first-ever Punjabi feature film. The film stars Arif Hasan, Samiya Mumtaz, Eman Suleiman and Ali Kureshi in pivotal roles. It also marks the acting debut of model Ali Kureshi who has already taken the by storm with his good looks. Zindagi Tamasha (Circus of Life), Directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. is a Khoosat Films Production. Distributed by IMGC and DC, the film has now gotten a release date. As it is all set to hit silver screens on 24th January 2020.

Prior to the release of Zindagi Tamasha in Pakistan, the film has screened at the Busan International Film Festival. Earning international critical acclaim, the film won Kim Ji Seok Award at Busan International Film Festival. Few days ago, the film was making in headlines as the trailer of the film had removed from Youtube. The removal also triggered doubt among fans about its release. Sarmad himself put all such doubts to rest in a live session. He didn’t only reveal the reasons of removal but also announced the release date on his Instagram.

He stated, “I admit that Khoosat Films removed the trailer from its YouTube channel as a few concerns were raised about the content of our film. Unfortunately, we have to condense the subject of a film in a few minutes for the trailer and hence, sometimes it doesn’t reflect the larger picture. There were a few conflicts about some dialogues and after minor deletions, the trailer will again be uploaded soon.”

Sarmad Khoosat Announced Zindagi Tamsha Release Date:

After that he turned to his social media handles and announced the released date. He also shared that the movie has been cleared by all three censor boards of Pakistan i.e. Federal, Punjab, and Sindh boards in October 2019. “On 24 January 2020, I’m bringing to theaters across Pakistan. A piece of my heart, Zindagi Tamasha, a film by Khoosat Films (distributed by IMGC Distribution Club). A story of tolerance, forbearance and compassion, made only with a lot of love and solicitude over the past one year. Thank you for all the feedback since the initial release of the trailer in September 2019.”

Requesting fans to watch the film in cinemas he further added. “Film is a complex medium, and one for the masses, hence keeping in consideration as many opinions and sensibilities as possible, and maintaining respect for public/state institutions, I’m most happy to present on the screens a version cleared by all 3 censor boards of Pakistan- federal, Punjab and Sindh, after a review and a re-review. I request all of you to please watch Zindagi Tamasha in cinemas and to let it speak to you as you please. This is a film about all of us, for all of us.”
