Zindagi Tamasha is one of the most awaited upcoming Punjabi movie. It’s Sarmad Khoosat’s first-ever Punjabi feature film. The film stars Arif Hasan, Samiya Mumtaz, Eman Suleiman and Ali Kureshi in pivotal roles. It also marks the acting debut of model Ali Kureshi. Directed by Sarmad Sultan Khoosat. is a Khoosat Films Production. Distributed by IMGC and DC, the film has now gotten a release date. As it is all set to hit silver screens on 24th January 2020. The film is making in headlines since it’s announcement. Whereas it is facing hurdles in it’s release. On the other hand, the makers are getting hate by the netizens on it’s concept and story-line.

The latest is, director Sarmad Khoosat is receiving death threats. Yes, you read it right! After three days of writing an open letter to the prime minister over hurdles being created in the release of his upcoming film “Zindagi Tamasha”, Sarmad Khoosat has disclosed that he is getting endangering phone calls and messages. Seeking guidance from the nation he asked, whether he should drop the idea of releasing his movie or not. On Sunday in response to the threats received by him, Sarmad Khoosat has expressed his disappointment and concerns in a series of letters to the Government and all of Pakistan.
Alongside his open letter, he also posted screenshot of the threat on social media while concealing the name of culprit.
The director also mentioned that he invested his all savings and two years for the project. The film has been passed by all three censor boards. But still it is facing obstacles for some seemingly objectionable content. After his social media posts, many celebrities came out in support of Sarmad.
