The Legend of Maula Jatt Director Bilal Lashari Warned That The Film Is Not For Children & Faint-Hearted

The buzz around the upcoming film ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ is palpable. It had created a havoc on social media since the first look revealed, with netizens comparing the new star cast with the legends of original version. When the trailer came out it increased the excitement level and movie lovers were eagerly waiting for it’s release. As we know after battling many legal hurdles, the film will finally be seeing the light of day this May. The producer Ammara Hikmat confirmed that the film is all set to hit the cinema screens this Eid.

The film features sought after actors Fawad Khan, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Mahira Khan and Humaima Malik in pivotal roles. The ensemble cast of the film also includes Faris Shafi, Shafqat Cheema and Nayyer Ejaz, among others. The film is a joint collaboration between Ammara Hikmat and Bilal Lashari under Encyclomedia and Lashari films produced in association with AAA Motion Pictures. Now the latest is, prior to the film release, Bilal Lashari warned the audiences that the reboot of 1979 cult classic takes certain liberties with violence which may not be digestible for some. So that, he advised parents to not take the children with them. He also said that the film is not for the faint-hearted prople.

In a press release the director Bilal Lashari stated

Parents might not find the film suitable for their kids because of the graphic nature of few scenes so I would strictly advise against bringing children to cinema. Such outright violence is not for the faint-hearted and little ones.

Adding further Bilal Lashari assured that unlike the original version, the reboot will be very palatable for the new generation as well. As that the original version catered mainly to the rural masses of Punjab

The film transcends cultural and linguistic divides. A Sindhi will enjoy it as much as any Punjabi. The content will be very palatable to the new generation that in times to come will extend the immortality of the fictional characters, Maula And Noori.
