Days Before Release: Huawei P40 and Huawei P40 Pro Pricing and Specifications Leaked

The global leading Tech Giant Huawei is all set to launch a brand new classy device. Just a day before the launch of the Huawei P40 series phones, the complete spec sheet of the upcoming phones has now been leaked. As reported and shared by Winfuture.de, the ‘Pro’ edition will debut with an OLED panel that stretches 6.58 inches across and produces a 2640×1200 resolution at a 90Hz refresh rate. Huawei P40 Pro will offer 50X “SuperSensing Zoom” and support 40W wireless charging speeds. The P40 and P40 Pro will be powered by HiSilicon’s Kirin 990 chipset as expected and offer 5G connectivity in Europe. However, in some other markets, WinFuture claims Huawei will only sell LTE versions of the two phones.

There is a wide cutout housing for the phone’s 32MP selfie camera, depth-assist, and face unlock sensors in the top-left corner of the Huawei P40 Pro. The display melts into the edges and is surrounded by razor-thin bezels all around.

An over-sized camera bump rests in a corner which features a multiple-camera setup. The primary camera has a 50-MP lens behind it. This ‘UltraVision’ camera is AI-assisted, and it supports OIS and ‘Octa Phase Detection’ for better auto focus. The feature allows it to capture a series of shots in 1.7 seconds and intelligently picks the perfect one.

The primary camera is a video-centric 40-MP sensor that lets you shoot in 4K. Not only this, there is also a 12 MP telephoto camera spotted with a pair of depth and macro units. The entire ensemble produces 50x hybrid zooming, which Huawei is calling the ‘SuperSensing Zoom.’ The P40 Pro also offers a 4,200 mAh battery with support for 40W fast charging.

Standard Huawei P40

The standard Huawei P40 edition shows off a slightly smaller, 6.1-inch AMOLED display that delivers an FHD+ resolution (at what we expect to be a 60Hz refresh rate). It has a narrower pill-style cutout since it doesn’t house a 3D face unlock sensor.

Around the back, There is a triple-camera which includes a 50MP primary shooter, combined with a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and an 8MP telephoto module.

The battery capacity is even smaller, 3,800 mAh cell with support for only 22.5W fast charging. The fast charging tech is carried over from last year’s P30, and there’s no dust and water resistance either.

The duo runs on Kirin 990 with out-of-the-box Android 10 that lacks Google Apps. As far as the Prices are concerned, the report claims that The Pro variant will be priced around 999 Euros or some 170,000 Pakistan rupees. While the standard Huawei P40 will retail for 799 EUR or approximately 137,000 PKR without taxes.
