These days we are hearing back to back news of films getting delayed owning to coronavirus pandemic. Now the buzz is, the much-awaited sequel to Tom Hardy starring Venom has now officially been delayed to 2021. Yes, you read it true. Unfortunately, we’re going to have to wait several more months to watch the movie. The movie had been set to hit cinemas on Oct. 2, 2020. It will now go out on June 25, 2021, the date formerly occupied by Warner Bros.’ Batman reboot. Not only the release date, but it also got a new title. Now the sequel will be called Venom: Let There Be Carnage.
Andy Serkis is directing Venom 2, which sees Tom Hardy reprise his role as the titular character. Michelle Williams will also be reprising her role as his love interest, Anne Weying. Woody Harrelson, who appeared in an after-credits scene from the first film will play symbiote Carnage. In 2018, Venom turned into a sleeper hit at the global box office on its way to earning $856 million.
